Personal News & Musings
🫣 Sometimes, I’ll overshare and/or rant a bit.
This week was a busy one:
I met the lovely Eleanor Mayrhofer, host of the podcast The Expat Business Show. We’ll announce when the interview is live. In the meantime, check out some of the past episodes.
I also spoke at an event hosted by SPICED Academy and met some lovely people from around the globe, which was soooo cool. You can view my mini-presentation to see what you missed out on and, better yet, upskill yourself for today’s job market by registering for a course with SPICED.
On June 20, I’ll be back at the Tech Jobs Fair, moderating a great speaker lineup. Will I see you there? It’s a great chance to network and meet employers hiring right now in Berlin.
Speaking of companies hiring, I made a MASSIVE update to my list of companies in Berlin hiring. I removed companies that no longer have vacancies, updated company descriptions, and added a bunch of new entries.
Be sure to bookmark the page, as I plan to update it daily over the coming weeks.

Last week’s poll asked readers: Aside from a photo, do you add any personal information to your German CV? 65% of those who replied said they include their nationality, 30% their DOB, and 6% their marital status. 😱
While adding nationality to your CV can be useful so that German recruiters understand you need visa assistance, there is no reason to add your birth date or marital status, EVER.
Participate in this week’s poll.
